SURREALIST FIGURES
These prints were a project sparked by ‘Flower Girl’. I wanted to revisit this drawing, and expand the implications of the headless figures and their integration with nature. It was important to place them in a scene unlike the first drawing to emphasize this integration, and the borders were added to emphasize that the figures are intentionally being perceived by the viewer–somewhat performative, rather than just passing by the scene. The images you see here are scanned versions of the two-color Risograph prints that were made after drawing digitally.
