book cover reDESIGN
This work is part of a series of book cover redesigns, which revisits the art of well-loved novels to implicate a new, modern visual language. With each design, it is important to preserve the essence of the story itself, while bringing the themes to life. To maintain visual cohesion throughout all of the designs, I intentionally kept minimal color palettes and vector-based graphics. I also took the opportunity to not just design the front covers, but the full back-to-front, as this was an opportunity to not just illustrate a “hero” image, but to take particular care in how the back covers and spines are treated. Overall, this series was especially fun for me to make, as I am an avid reader and was able to revisit the stories of novels that I already loved.
